COLD CASE: The Disturbing and Evil Murder of Kirk Knight

On May 25th, 1980, a man who went out for a morning boat ride in the Detroit River near Windsor witnessed a bobbing in the water nearby to some abandoned docks. Upon closer inspection, the man realized that it was a human corpse, which had been tied to a cement block and thrown in the water. This body was later discovered to be 24-year-old Kirk Knight. His death was ruled as asphyxiation, but it was also evident that Knight wasn’t strangled. Investigators are still unsure as to whether Knight was still alive when he was thrown in the water. His body, which had been found tied to a cement block, was also bound and gagged, with police mentioning that this could have caused his death before he entered the water.
